Finally after some fast track and full blast training the past few days, I have reactivated my life insurance license this time with AXA Philippines (I used to be with Philamlife). This completes my personal brand package as a “Cross-Seller”. 🙂 I have 1. Real Estate (Ayala Land, Rockwell Land; manages some properties for rent in Mandaluyong, Las Pinas, Cavite); 2. Life insurance (protection, education, savings, health, group); 3. Non-life insurance (travel, home, auto, accident, bonds, marine) and 4. Investments (mutual funds with Philam Asset Management, Inc.(PAMI), variable life, endowment).
Why did I add life insurance again in my portfolio? Times are changing and financial education is on the rise in the Philippines. More people are getting informed and educated; as an offshoot, more people are becoming aware that life insurance is not a bad thing at all. In the past, life insurance is associated with death, something that is viewed at negatively. It is also a good investment vehicle over time. Gone are the days that it is bought merely for protection as income replacement. Packaging of Life insurance products have evolved over the years. Now, there are many product variations: You can purchase a life insurance product to meet your financial goals in the areas of 1. Protection for your family; 2. Education for your children; 3. Health Insurance for yourself and family; and 4. Retirement and Savings for yourself.
I am upbeat for next year. The Philippines is on the verge of getting a credit rating of “Investment-grade” which can open up the floodgates of investments from more foreign investors for our country. The impact could be tremendous. It will spur economic growth, which hopefully will trickle down to the masses in the form of more employments as a result of more businesses created by this ripple effect. Good for the stock market, good for the mutual fund market; in short, everything will be good for the investment community. More people would turn into investment-mode and I’m just preparing for any eventuality and opportunity to service my existing and prospective clients for their investment requirements. This time, I can offer life insurance, endowment, mutual funds, savings and retirement plans.
Looking forward to a more fruitful and prosperous 2013. Thank you Lord for making this possible by your grace.
