You normally read phrase like, “What the Bible says about God” but let’s turn this phrase around and ask, “What God says about the Bible”.

For the Bible is the Word of God. The Bible is God speaking to man.

Here are a few eternal truths:

2 Timothy 3:16

New International Version (©1984)
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

New Living Translation (©2007)
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

Therefore, if the Bible is living proof that it is the Word of God, you can be sure that it will stand the test of time for Jesus said:

Matthew 24:35 ; Mark 13:31

New International Version (©1984)
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

And God warns against those who tamper with His Word:

Deuteronomy 4:2

Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God that I give you.

Deuteronomy 12:32

See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it.

Proverbs 30:6

Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.

Ecclesiastes 12: 11-12

The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails – given by one Shepherd. Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.

Revelation 22:18

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book:

If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.

For Christianity is more than a religion.

It’s about a personal relationship with the Lord through His Son, Jesus Christ.
