We are shortchanging Jesus if the church is not manifesting the power of God.
In the time of John Wesley, healing and miracles abound.
John Wesley was an Anglican priest. He did not die a Methodist. The Methodist was founded after he died.
The Methodist Church has a wealthy heritage.
Romans 15:17-19 (NIV)
Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God.I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done– by the power of signs and miracles, through the power of the Spirit. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.
1. Therefore, the full proclamation of the Gospel is achieved :
a. By what we say
b. By what we do
c. Through signs and wonders.
Walk in the power of Jesus’ name.
2. How to receive Miracle.
Read Mark 5:25
a. Listen to the right word (Jesus, Faith, Bible, Miracles of Jesus)
Jesus is the same yesterday and forever.
b. Get close to Jesus (He is the Miracle worker)
The burden of healing falls on the Lord.
c. Entertain Miracle thoughts.
Read Hebrews 12:6 and Rev. 19:10
3 Steps to move in Healing:
Read Acts 3. (Peter Heals a Crippled Beggar)
A. See Jesus doing it.
(Imagine the sickness/disease meeting face-to-face with Jesus)
All sicknesses/diseases are already paid for by Jesus.
The appropriate prayer for this kind is a healing prayer, not a comforting prayer.
B. Command it.
(As believers in Christ, our job is to just pray for the sick and command the healing. It is God’s job to heal the sick. As Christians, we are just messengers. Jesus is the Message)
C. Check it out.
God starts to move when we start to move in faith. Activate the Word.
